Tae Kwon Do Training




Children from Fox and Badger classes have been taking part in Tae Kwon Do training with coaches Lisa and Chris from NMAC Great Britain.



In the first session children were learning front stance.


The sessions will continue every Wednesday until the Easter Holidays.

In the Summer term an after school Tae Kwon Do club will be running on Monday evenings

NMAC offer a wide range of training days and dates should your child wish to continue with Tae Kwon Do. See below for further details:

At Spooner Row we offer a wide range of after school sports clubs. These provide opportunites for children to try new sports and are also a stepping stone to enable them to join local sports clubs and take part in school games competitions. The following after school clubs are offered: Monday - Athletics incorporating speed and agility.  The SAQ continuum is used to help children improve coordination, speed and agility. The focus is on improving the basic body movements for sport. Children also practice jumping and throwing together with the sports hall athletics events. The sessions are run by Mr House who is a qualified athletics coach and also coaches at Attleborough Athletics Academy. Tuesday - Gymnastics - Key Stage 1 Children are taught the basics of gymnastics covering balancing, travelling and jumping. Cluster Cross Country

On 8th October, nine children from Key Stage 2 took part in the Wymondham Cluster cross country competition at Wymondham High School . The event was very well attended with around thirty children in each race. Spooner Row's runners did incredibly well with two first places and two second places. Seven out of our nine runners qualified for the South Norfolk competition by finishing in the top ten. The other two children only missed out by a few places. Year 3 First Place Year 4 First Place

Wymondham Cluster Tag Rugby Tournament

Spooner Row entered two teams into the Wymondham Cluster Tag rugby tournament that was held at Wymondham Rugby Club on Monday 25th February. Team A Team B Both teams played extremely well. Spooner Row's team B didn't lose any of their seven games and finished in second place which means they will go through to the South Norfolk tournament on 22nd May. Team A also did very well finishing just behind team B in third place but sadly just missed out on qualifying for the next round. The last (and best) game of the day was between Spooner Row's A and B teams. Both teams were desperate to win. The final score in this fantastic game was 6 all.
