Spooner Row school hosted the 2019 Norfolk Primary Schools Touch Rugby Championships on Wednesday 16th October. Schools from Spooner Row, Wicklewood, Barford, Langham, Millfield, North Repps and Erpingham entered teams. It’s quick to learn and you don’t need any special equipment which makes it perfect for schools. Despite slightly damp weather the standard of play from the children was extremely high. On Tuesday 15th October Spooner Row took two teams to the South Norfolk Girl's Football Competition at Goals in Norwich. There were two separate competitions, one for years 3/4 and one for years 5/6. There were 11 schools in the year 3/4 competition. The girls from Badger class started the tournament with a promising three nil win against Stoke Holy Cross team 2. As you can see from the photos, the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and made the most of any breaks in play. Next came two defeats against a very strong Harleston team and the eventual winners Robert Kett. This meant that Spooner Row finished fourth in the group. "What's that yellow thing?" The final game was a play off game with Newton Flotman to see which team would finish 7th
