Year 1 & 2 Inter House Football Competition

On Friday 24th May Fox Class held an inter house football competition. The whole class took part in the competition.  The children all wore bibs in their house colours and were split into 8 zones on a football pitch with one child from each house in each zone. We periodically moved the children around the zones so they all had a chance to score goals.  The game was very competitive. When all the goals were counted up the teams finished as follows: 1st place - Yellow House 2nd place - Green House 3rd place - Blue House 4th place - Red House Congratulations to Yellow House. 6 boys and 6 girls from Fox Class will be representing the school in the Canary 4's Competition which is run by the Community Sport Foundation. The competition is at the Nest in Horsford on Wednesday 12th June.  Parents are encouraged to come along and support their children if they're free.

All the teams in this tournament had qualified for this tournament from their clusters which meant that the standard of all the teams was very high. The Spooner Row team played brilliant in the pool stages and won all five games to win their pool. The semi final was against a very strong Brooke team. Spooner Row quickly went 2 nil down but pulled back to level the score at 5 -5. In the last seconds of the game Spooner Row  managed to score a great try to win the game. The final was against our Wymondham Cluster friendly rivals Wreningham. The final was another very close game and the standard of rugby was extremely high. The final score was Wreningham 5 Spooner Row 4. Congratulations to Wreningham. Unfortunately there are no Norfolk Finals this year but if there had been, Spooner Row would have qualified to represent South
