School Games Norfolk Tennis Finals

Two year 3/4 teams from Spooner Row qualified for the norfolk School Games Tennis Finals. The competition took place on Wednesday 19th June at the UEA Sports Park.

32 large and small school teams from across Norfolk qualified by finishing in the top three at their regional competitions. Spooner Row qualified along with Ashley school to represent South Norfolk.

The photos show how well the Spooner Row children played. Both teams qualified from the pool stages to play in the top eight competition.

Spooner Row were up against some of the best tennis players in the county. All the children played extremely well. Spooner Row's B team finished 5th overall and the B team finished in 8th. What a great achievement for such a small school!

Thanks to Mrs Newbery and Mrs Bradley for their coaching. Thanks also to parent helpers Mrs Webster, Mr Woods and to all the other parents that came along to support the team.

Any children wishing to try tennis can do so at Wymondham or Hingham tennis clubs.

See their websites for further information.
