Sixteen children from Spooner Row played in the CSF Schools Cup Football tournament on 11th January. The tournament was run by Norwich City's Community Sports Foundation at their Nest centre. The girls played in the first half of each game. The boys played in the second half and the girls and boys scores were combined at the end of each game.  Spooner Row played very well. Everyone improved throughout the day and really enjoyed the competition.  The team receiving their participation certificates at the weekly whole school good work assembly.  Thanks once again to parent helper Mrs Saint. Thanks also to Asa Saunders and the CSF team for organising the event and inviting Spooner Row.     

Schools from across the Wymondham Cluster took part in the Sportshall Athletics competition at Wymondham Leisure Centre on the 7th and 8th January 2019. There were two competitions, one for years 5 and 6 and one for years 3 and 4. Children competed at 8 different track events including soft javelin, standing high jump, standing long jump and speed bounce. There were also three relay events. The Spooner Row Year 5/6 Team The Spooner Row Year 3/4 Team The children had a brilliant morning with everyone improving their technique and scores throughout the competition. There was also a great team spirit shown during the relay races. The final overall team placings for Spooner Row were 5th for the year 3/4 team and the year 5/6 team finished 8th. Thanks to Rob Hodge for organising the competitions and to the sports leaders from Wymondham High School. Thanks also to parent helpers Mrs Saint and Mrs Sparkes.
